EVNNPC invested nearly VND 3,000 billion against overload of 2016 dry-season grid

This is one of the important investments - construction of the Northern Electricity Corporation (EVNNPC) in 2016.
 
Over 300 sub-projects and 25 capacity-increasing projects, 110 kV transformers are being deployed by power companies under EVNNPC. Expected, all projects will be completed in April 2016.
 
For grid distribution, the areas with the most overloaded areas are Thanh Hoa (43 projects), Vinh Phuc (25 projects), Nghe An (24 projects), Thai Binh (23 projects) , Quang Ninh (21 projects).
 
Statistics of EVNNPC, in 2015, the growth rate of load in the North is quite high. Of which, the highest were Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Hoa Binh, Ha Nam (over 20%); Nam Dinh, Thanh Hoa, Thai Binh, Ha Tinh and Hung Yen with the increase of 13-20%.
 
The company forecasts that this year's load growth will continue to be high, which may cause overloading of the grid, especially in the hot months of May, June and July.
 
In 2015 alone, EVNNPC has completed the electricity supply of 34 works of 220 kV and 110 kV, with the total capacity of 1,058 MVA transformer station, total length of 314 km to meet the load demand.
 
Currently, there are 43 transformer stations (220/110 kV transformer stations in the North) with 71 transformers of 200/110 kV. The largest utilization capacity of the Northern power system is about 11,500 MW.
 
EVNNPC estimates the reserve of transmission grid is not high. Therefore, to build a 110 kV grid meeting the n-1 standard by 2020, the prerequisite is that the transformer substations and the 500-200 kV transmission lines under the planning for the period 2016-2020 must be operational. On schedule.
